Monday Again

I hope everyone had a great weekend; I didn’t do too much of anything. I was at the salon all day on Saturday getting the locs retwisted, and everyone knows what went down on Sunday. However I do have 2 funny stories to tell you all, hey I thought they were blog worthy.

Okay I head to the grocery store armed with my shopping list & coupons in hand. This whole cooking thing and not eating out is a lot of effort! So I’m walking through the store doing my thing when I see a man walking towards me. My MMR (Married Man Radar) immediately zooms in on the shiny platinum band on his left finger. I politely smiled and kept it moving. He stopped and asked me what I was making for dinner (LAME). I replied I didn’t know and kept walking. I passed him in several more aisles and ignored him every single time. On the last pass he suggested he’d bring the wine if I cooked the meal. *sigh* I looked at him like “ninja please” and told him I didn’t think his wife would appreciate that. Oh, his wife is out of town and she won’t mind. “Wow, she is really lucky to be married to a guy like you,” I replied and rolled my eyes.

Tha nerves….

Sunday afternoon in between services me and a couple of the women from my church went to Frisch’s Big Boys for a dessert (mostly everyone wanted the hot fudge cake). Okay, so we are sitting talking, laughing and probably being really LOUD; our waitress comes over take everyone order and I order a banana milkshake. Aiight you got that. She recites everyone order over, my order, banana milkshake. Aiight she got that. So, she bring all of our orders over and hands me this pigment less milkshake, so I ask her if this was a banana milk shake……her response…….oooooooooo, naw that is vanilla, umm we don’t have banana so I brought you a vanilla one, unless you want to add cherry, or skrawberry or sumptin…BLINK, BLIK! My response mmmmmmmmmkay, everyone looking like WHATDAHELL……At that point I’m like you know what I’ll just keep the vanilla one, now I don’t get it, maybe you all can help me out b/c we all couldn’t figure it out. So, b/c you all didn’t have banana you just choose for ME what kind I want to drink….Did it ever occur to you that when you recited my order back that your location didn’t serve banana and at that point maybe you should suggest a different flavor, but ummm Nurppp it just didn’t click.

Simple…….

Okay, enough of my weekend rambles…..What did you guys do over the weekend??? I know Ms.Gweniepooh (yeah I called you that LOL) participated in the Breast Cancer Walk here in Dayton….Big Ups for you and your continued support to help find a cure for Cancer…As I lost an aunt 2 yrs ago to Melanoma cancer (which deals with the skin).
